Lamport

Frequently asked questions

What is this SOL?

Every token you've ever held opened a small account in your wallet. Solana requires a deposit to keep that account on-chain — 0.0015 to 0.002 SOL, more on older accounts. Once the token's gone, the account stays, and so does the deposit.

Why is it locked?

It isn't really a fee — it's rent Solana holds as a deposit so the network can store the account's data. Closing the account refunds it in full. Nothing is lost; it's just sitting there unused until you close the account.

Does Lamport take a fee?

No. Lamport takes nothing. You pay only Solana's own network fee for the closing transaction.

Why do I need a little SOL first?

Closing an account is a transaction, and Solana charges a small network fee for every transaction — about 0.000006 SOL. That fee is paid before the rent comes back, so your wallet needs a little SOL in it already.

Can I use my GMGN, Photon or Axiom wallet?

For the free check, yes — paste the address and it reads the same as any other. Closing accounts needs a wallet that can sign messages and transactions for websites, such as Phantom or Solflare. Most trading-bot wallets can be imported into Phantom, from inside Phantom. Either way, Lamport never asks for or sees a private key.

What can Lamport see or do?

Signed in, it reads your wallet address and its token accounts — nothing more. It never asks for a seed phrase or a key, and its server never signs or sends a transaction. See Privacy for the full picture.

Why does Phantom sometimes warn?

Phantom warns about new sites and transactions it hasn't seen before and couldn't test ahead of time. Lamport simulates every transaction before asking you to approve it — read the warning, check what it does, and decide for yourself.

Will my tokens be touched?

No. Only accounts holding exactly zero tokens are closed. Anything you still hold, even a little, is left alone.

Why only 3 per run?

That's the current free limit per run. Run it again to close more — you keep all of the SOL that comes back either way.

How can I check what Lamport did?

Every transaction appears in your wallet before you approve it, and afterwards anyone can look it up on a public Solana explorer such as Solscan.
